Press Release 29-09-03: FalChi
Calling all local wisdom: an opportunity to pool, tried and tested health wisdom and experience.
A wall of wisdom and experience, ‘do’s and don’ts’ on health and wellbeing issues to share, is the innovative idea of FalChi (Fal area Complementary Health Initiative).
Falmouth member, Rachel Lay, hopes this will be the start of a regular compilation of material, as part of the new, yearly Falmouth Health and Wellbeing Festival. The event this year is taking place on 12th October at the Princess Pavilion, 12:00 to 10:00.
The graffitti wall or ‘washing line’ format is designed to inspire everyone to share personal remedies and anecdotes, first aid and self care, tried and tested solutions for the problems that beset body and mind. FalChi are aiming to collate this practical and inspirational manual of experience to be shared in the local community. The resultant booklet/web pages will be called ‘Falmouth Shared Wisdom’. The information can be donated anonymously or with contact details, either at the event or sent to the venue if unable to attend. Information can also be emailed to info@reallifetools.org.uk.
