Press Release: Falmouth Health & Well Being Festival 2003
FalChi — Fal area Complementary Health Initiative.
This October sees the first of what is intended to be an informative, inspirational and enjoyable annual festival.
The event is organised by FalChi, a group consisting of complementary therapists and community enthusiasts aiming to introduce everybody to proven, practical, local initiatives that kickstart and support full health and well being. We know that good health is based on information, self care and action. Our intention is to provide local access to such expertise and resources for healthy living and healthy communities.
To start this process of awareness raising we are holding the Falmouth Health and Well Being Festival at the Princess Pavilion on Sunday 12th October 2003. Starting at mid-day 12:00, there will be complementary therapy taster sessions, workshops and entertainment throughout the afternoon, followed by sessions of dance, exercise and movement in the evening, ending at 10pm.
The festival is based totally on that most precious of resources, good will! All organisers, therapists, entertainers, workshop leaders are offering their expertise for FREE. The only outlay is hire of the venue, funded by The Complementary Health Initiative.
We all share a common desire for happy, healthy, satisfying lives for ourselves and others. This festival offers hope, fun, information, experience, inspiration and peace for body and mind.
FalChi is affiliated to CHI, the Complementary Health Initiative based in Penwith. CHI is already undertaking three pilot partnership projects with Primary Care and to date proving very successful.
